Kelsea Ballerini had plenty of fun onstage during her 2018 ACM Awards performance on Sunday night (April 15). The country star sang her single "I Hate Love Songs" for what was her biggest awards show performance yet.

In a fashion reminiscent of Taylor Swift's "Love Story" (cue flying balcony), Ballerini was lowered onto the stage via a gigantic, light-up pink heart, wearing a gauzy, flowing light pink gown and exuding vibes of glitz and glam.

The flowing, romantic dress served as a hilarious contrast, as she sang about hating love songs ... but loving her sweetheart. In this case, the sweetheart in question would be her husband and fellow country singer Morgan Evans. Partway through her performance, Ballerini's outfit switched in a flash to glittering jeans and a tank top, and she showed off her sassy side a little more.

Ahead of her 2018 ACM Awards performance, Ballerini teased that her time onstage would include "like, a lot of moving parts -- literally, moving parts."

"I'm really excited to kind of try out new stuff," she said.

"I Hate Love Songs" comes from Ballerini's latest release, Unapologeticallywhich also includes her No. 1 hit "Legends," which earned her a nomination for Video of the Year at the ACMs in 2018. Ballerini is also in the running for Female Vocalist of the Year.
