If you’ve ever driven on I-35 in Austin, Texas, or, heck, even around Abilene, you already know things get… creative. But a dashcam video now going viral across Texas social media takes the chaos to a whole new level.

The clip (which you can watch below) shows a driver merging under a semi-truck hauling massive concrete beams. Not around it. Not behind it. Under it. It was like a totally normal lane change, not something that makes your insurance agent break into a sweat.

The video has amassed millions of views and is spreading rapidly because it perfectly captures what Texans already know: driving in Texas is weird.

Thankfully, no accident was reported in this incident. Everyone made it out okay, which honestly might be the most unbelievable part of the whole thing.

Still, the video is a reminder that while Texas highways are built big, they’re not built for stunt driving. What looks wild on TikTok could go very wrong in real life, especially when 18-wheelers and concrete beams are involved.

It reminds me of that scene in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation when Clark merges under an 18-wheeler.

Driving Texas Is Weird… But Let’s Not Make It Weirder

This viral moment is funny, jaw-dropping, and extremely Texas, but it’s also a good reminder to slow it down, give trucks space, and maybe not treat I-35 like a video game.

Because one thing’s for sure, Texas roads already provide enough excitement.
