All Kind Animal Initiative In Texas Opens New Pet Adoption Facility In Abilene
All Kind Animal Initiative in Abilene, Texas, recently held its grand opening for the new state-of-the-art facility called The Parc, and we were able to check out this amazing new place.
The PARC
It's been several years in the making, but the new building, dubbed The PARC (Pet Adoption Resource Center), officially opened at 610 East South 11th Street on Thursday, October 17th.

The Facility
On Saturday, October 19th, the non-profit organization held its grand opening featuring food trucks, bounce houses, and tours of the $13 million state-of-the-art facility.
While the old building looked more like a prison than an animal facility, the new building is full of life, color, and happiness, perfect for meeting your new best friend. It features larger dog kennels with indoor and outdoor accessibility, a classroom to help teach basic pet needs and new meet-and-greet areas.
Not only is the facility a major win in terms of showcasing the work done at The PARC, but life-changing for the animals that are cared for.
Interview With Executive Director Kelly McCoy
Kelly joined me on The Afternoon Buzz recently and we talked about the success of the grand opening, the way the community has come together, animal welfare, and how hard it is to deal with the heartbreaking realities of some of these animals.
Check out the interview with the player below.
If you get a chance, stop by the new facility and check it out for yourself and maybe take home a new furry friend to add to your family.
