The final season of Duck Dynasty will air in 2017, A&E has revealed. The announcement was made on Wednesday (Nov. 16) during the first episode of the show's 11th season.

The season will be broken into halves and will run through Jan. 18, pausing for a few weeks before resuming on March 1. The series finale is set to air on April 12. It won't be a sad goodbye, though, as promos for the new season promise a fun one:

"Whether #DuckDynasty made you cry, smile, or quack up, we want to know. Submit a video using #TheLastCall for a chance to be seen on TV," a tweet from the show urges.

Duck Dynasty follows the Robertson family, who are known for their duck call-making business in Louisiana. Throughout the 11 seasons, they have been endorsed by some of country's biggest artists, as well as have had their own hand in the genre.

In 2014 one of the show's stars, Uncle Si Robertson, released a six-song EP, Me and My Smoking Hot Honey. The compilation featured a duet with Kix Brooks. The year prior, the family released a Christmas album which featured Luke BryanGeorge Strait, Josh Turner and Alison Krauss.

While fans may have to say goodbye to the regular series come April, it likely won't be the last time the family is in the spotlight, as they teased that there could be additional specials ahead.
