LOOK: The 9 Best Places to Go Tubing in Texas
Once it gets warm enough, here in Texas, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be a ton of people floating, or tubing, various rivers on a daily basis.
Tubing, also known as inner tubing, bumper tubing, towed tubing, or kite tubing, is a recreational activity where an individual rides on top of an inner tube, either on water, snow or through the air. The tubes themselves are also known as "donuts" or "biscuits" due to their shape. [Wikipedia]
Now, when you go tubing, you'll need to remember to get an extra tube to hold your cooler because you don't want it to end up at the bottom of the river. What you put in your cooler is up to you, but make sure you're up-to-date on the rules of the river - in case you're not supposed to have alcoholic beverages, glass, or even a cooler.
We Texans have our own favorite tubing spots, but if you're new to this great state or merely looking for another sweet spot to float, then you'll want to check out the gallery below.
