Crime stoppers Executive Director Rick Dorman says that "Abilene Crime Stoppers does not want to know who you are and we DO NOT want your name at all. What I want is your information." You are to remain totally anonymous.

The reason they don't want you to reveal your name is that if you do not reveal your name you do not have to testify. Plus if you want to get paid the reward money one of the rules at Crime Stoppers is that you don't reveal who you are.
