The 26th Annual 'TET Reunion' honoring all Veterans, is scheduled for Saturday, February 2nd starting at 12:00 noon at the Taylor County Expo center. All Veteransand their families are welcomed, and encouraged to bring their photo's and memorabilia from their era of service. The TET reunion was started by Vietnam Vets but is open to all Vets, no matter the era of service. There will be food, drinks, displays, memorabilia and a USO kind of show.

The TET Reunion honors all branches of the service but it's primary focus originally was that of the Vietnam era Veterans. The Tet Offensive was a military campaign during the Vietnam War that was launched on January 30, 1968 by forces of the Viet Cong (VC) and North Vietnamese Army (NVA) against the United States, the South Vietnamese and their allies. It was a surprise attack against both the military and civilians. No attacks were supposed to take place during this time because of an agreed upon cease-fire.

The operations are referred to as the "TET Offensive" because of the prior agreement to a "cease fire" during the Tet Lunar New Year celebrations. Both North and South Vietnam agreed and announced that there would be a two-day cease-fire during the holiday. Nonetheless, the NVA and VC launched an attack in the early morning hours of January 30th 1968. It was the first day of Tet.
