Nearly 20 performances highlighted the 2017 CMA Awards with tributes from Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley and more leading the way. The show's theme was unity — heck, co-host Brad Paisley even wore a "unity" T-shirt!

Musical highlights included Brothers Osborne's rowdy CMA performance of "It Ain't My Fault" and Eric Church's "Chattanooga Lucy." Little Big Town slowed it down for a cover of Glen Campbell's "Witchita Lineman." Underwood undoubtedly stole the night when she sang the gospel song "Softly and Tenderly" to tribute singers lost in 2017 and the 58 victims killed when a gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas.

Garth Brooks sounded great too, but as it turns out, he sounded too good. Fans correctly called him out for lip syncing during his CMA performance of "Ask Me How I Know."
