Zane Williams makes his way to Abilene for shows and radio tours from time to time. It's always great to catch up with the Abilene-born man who has not only been featured on the documentary TV show, Troubadour, TX, but on the Texas music charts a lot lately, too.

Zane came by last Friday (5/23) to talk about his show later that night at The Station, and took the time to play a couple songs for us during his visit. The first was "Overnight Success", a clever, tongue-in-cheek instructional song about how to become famous in the music industry. It's also the title track to his latest CD. Take a listen as Zane gives his hit song a little KEAN 105 spin:

Zane hung around long enough to play another song, the one that notoriously brought KEAN's Morning Show host Rudy 'Fearless' Fernandez to tears in a previous visit (as documented on Troubadour, TX). I managed to keep it together - barely - while Zane sang 'While I Was Away'. Take a listen to this beautiful, acoustic rendition here:

It's always great to have Zane visit the studio. He's a truly unique talent with a great sense of humor. Keep track of his shows, the latest news and music on the Zane Williams official website, and be sure to like him on Facebook and follow Zane on Twitter.
