The legacy of Zach Sobiech continues to grow.

A group of middle school students at South Dakota's Patrick Henry Middle School were so touched by Sobiech's courageous battle with cancer that they released balloons in his honor.

Sobiech died last week at the age of 18. He won scores of supporters after he put out an album and made a video for his song 'Clouds,' which went viral. In a kind of symbolic gesture, the students at Patrick Henry decided to release the balloons to the clouds Sobiech sang about.

Student Owen Alvine said, "[We're] mak[ing] sure that he's remembered and that he's still making a difference, even though he's not here."

Watch the students discuss what Sobiech meant to them below.
