The world was first introduced to Brendan MacFarlane as a pre-teen more than 3 years ago when he belted out a jaw-dropping performance inside a guitar shop. Then, earlier this year, he was invited on stage to perform with country star Vince Gill. Now, the Scottish teenager is making a push beyond the internet with a new radio single.

The most recent YouTube video to surface features MacFarlane performing a Hank Williams, Sr. cover. Some implied that the singer would be leaning toward a career in country music. But the single is a more pop-influenced ballad, and it's a pretty good one too. Check it out here:

Brendan MacFarlane - Need You

Brendan has a lot going on these days. He's currently a Nashville studio working on new music, making TV appearances to promote 'Need You', and is slated to open for The Zac Brown Band at the end of August. Talented and hard working - a combination that could take MacFarlane a long way in the music business.
