World’s Best Whistler Gets a Wacky Singing Voice
Ralph Giese was renowned for being one of the most unique whistlers in the world, practicing a method called throat whistling — a form which incidentally causes hilarious facial distortions. Giese appeared all over the media, from legit news programs to ‘The Tonight Show’ with Johnny Carson. However, this video which replaces his whistling with a ridiculous singing voice may be even more entertaining…
We’ll give you a second to wipe up the tears from your eyes. Don’t worry, we cried from laughter too. How could you help it? It’s undoubtedly one of the funniest things we’ve seen lately.
Of course, the only way it could get better is if we had footage of the singer dubbing over Giese. Sadly, that’s not an option just yet. Perhaps we’re better off with out it: why mess with perfection?
Even so, you still ought to revisit the original whistling video. While not as (intentionally) funny, it’s still pretty interesting thing to witness, not to mention a great time-capsule from the era of ’80s daytime TV.
