Country music icon Willie Nelson has been forced to cancel a string of shows (Feb. 6-8) at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, Calif., due to an undisclosed illness.

According to an interview with Bakersfield.com, talent buyer Jerry Hufford says he expects promoters to announce rescheduled dates for Nelson's Bakersfield concerts as soon as Monday (Feb. 6). Those with tickets for any of the the three Crystal Palace shows can seek a refund beginning at 11AM Wednesday (Feb. 8) at the point of purchase.

The “Always on My Mind” singer also canceled two of five shows scheduled to take place in Las Vegas in late January and early February, due to a “bad cold,” according to Nelson’s publicist, Elaine Schock. There is no information on whether it's the same illness that led Nelson to cancel his Bakersfield shows.

Nelson, best known for the aforementioned “Always on My Mind,” “Whiskey River,” “On the Road Again” and many other country classics, is 83 years old and currently resides in Austin, Texas.
