I've kept it to myself for a long time, but it's time I came out of the closet. I am a big Bucky Badgers fan and the reason comes from the schools band and the fans rather than the team itself. They are incredible, the students and fans remain standing through most of the game, they sing, they chant and generally have a great time while the game plays on. And yes even when the badgers are behind the school spirit never seems to change. As you'll see in the video, the game goes on while the fans sing and make lots of noise. The students and fans make it almost impossible for the visiting teams at Camp Randall stadium to hear themselves think let alone call their plays.

Now I think Russell Wilson is an awesome QB that keeps me on the edge of my seat and coach Bielema is a good coach. I think that offensive coach Paul Chryst is an awesome coach that knows how to get these kids invested in the game. But, the fact still remains, you got to have fans in those seats. Keeping the fans motivated, that job belongs to the band, cheerleaders and the student fan base. I've been hooked since 2002 when I saw my first U.W. game. The television sports network kept talking about the students, fans, cheerleaders and band. It was at that time I put the Badgers homecoming game on my personal bucket list. Go Badgers.
