It's a sad time.  Oprah will be gone after this week.  I know some of you will be super depressed and might even spend a week in bed but I'm here to help.  Let's find some things to fill that hour you will now have!!

1.  Exercise

Yes, I said the "E" word...exercise.  You can slim down and look good for the summer swimsuit season. Grab a friend and go for a walk.  I've been doing this for a couple of months now and I've lost 12lbs. already so see what you can accomplish in an hour.  Plus, it just makes you feel better to get out and get moving.  Even Oprah likes a good workout!

2.  Rosetta Stone

You could learn a new language.  You can learn any number of new languages from Chinese, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese or even Swahili.  Now you can combine this with the exercising by listening to the tapes on the go and get two things done with one...uh.."stone".

3.  Learn a new skill

You can learn pottery, cooking, jewelry making, car maintenance or any number of other skills you might not currently possess.  You could do this with some online classes, self-helping books, or even take a class in your area.  Oprah wants you to learn new things.

4.  Watch Ellen

Yes, I know you have never watched it before.  It comes on the same time as Oprah, even Ellen herself likes to watch Oprah but now you don't have to feel guilty, Oprah's gone.  Ellen is funny and she dances!!  You might actually find that you like Ellen.  Maybe even more than Oprah?  Okay, that might be taking it a little far.  Just give it a try a couple of times a week at first.  Baby steps.

5.  OWN

Those of you who just can't let go can tune in to Oprah's new network OWN.  Now you do realize she's not always on there 24/7, the network is just named after her.  It might ease the pain a little knowing that you are watching HER network.  Oprah Winfrey Network will do some feature programs with Oprah so you might catch a glimpse of  her on there once in awhile. You could also read Oprah's magazine "O".  This woman may not have her daily show but trust me she isn't going away!
