Hayes Carll recently recorded Guy Clark's “Magnolia Wind” at The Next Waltz’s Country Bunker studio in Lockhart, Texas.

The Next Waltz’s Bruce Robison said, “It is fitting that we were able to help Hayes pay tribute to icon, Guy Clark, whose passing in 2016 left a legacy to be celebrated, and a body of work whose influence is felt in roots music the world over. It was great for Hayes to pick a song from Guy’s later body of work to show what a continuously vital songwriter he was for 50ish years. Carll’s take on “Magnolia Wind” is rough and sweet all at the same time. The way the best country music is.”
