The Military Partnership of West Texas, the Disabled Veterans Association and the Texas Veterans Commission have teamed up for "Texas Women Veteran's Roll Call: Life Beyond the Oath". November 10th through the 12th, women veterans will be honored.

Marcus Romero with the Veterans Services of Abilene says "most of the seminars and events are intended for women who served in the military. Many times 'women veterans' are thought to been married to someone in the military, but nowadays many women served in Desert Storm and other places."

These three days will consist of workshops, information panels for career and confidence building as well as financial management, health information and more. The week ends with a Veterans Day Parade and a, barbecue.
