What a long, strange journey Little Big Town have had to success in country music. The golden-throated foursome have seen plenty of highs and some devastating lows along the way, but one very special once-in-a-career song rides at the top of the most unforgettable Little Big Town moments.

The basis of Little Big Town formed nearly 30 years ago, after old college friends Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Roads both moved to Nashville, where they started singing together. They were joined by Jimi Westbrook, who was a friend of Fairchild's husband, and then by Phillip Sweet, who rounded out the lineup.

The group scored a record deal with Mercury Nashville that yielded no albums or singles before they were dropped, and finally released their self-titled debut album via Monument in 2002. They soon went on to sign with Equity Records, and their first hit single under that deal is one of Little Big Town's most unforgettable moments, as is a giant, life-changing secret that two of the members managed to keep from the others for quite a while.

Other moments that make the list include a very special performance the much-acclaimed vocal quartet made on an awards show, as well as a musical project that took them well outside of their normal box and took fans by surprise, both musically and otherwise. The most unforgettable Little Big Town moment comes in the form of a career-changing song that reigned atop the charts for weeks, set new records and swept through awards season like wildfire.
