TV, Web, Newspaper, Radio: How Do You Get Your News? — Survey of the Day
The Internet may have revolutionized the way many of us get the news, but according to a Harris Poll of 2,307 adults, a majority of Americans still prefer an older technology when it comes to their preferred method of news accumulation.
Fifty percent of the survey’s respondents said that their favorite way to get news is from TV. Thirty-six percent answered that they like to get news online, and only 10 percent prefer to read all about it in a newspaper.
Not surprisingly, this breakdown is a bit different among 18- to 35-year-olds. Fifty-five percent of that demographic gets their news from the Web, 34 percent from TV, and less than 10 percent from a newspaper.
