Oklahoma country band the Turnpike Troubadours have announced the postponement of their November 2018 tour dates. A lengthy statement on the matter alludes to a band member dealing with a personal issue "much more important than our ability to perform live," but does not give specific details.

"Living this life on the road has so many ups, but, like in all life situations, there are also battles and struggles with which you learn to deal ... When one of us is down, we are there to life them up and help them down the road," reads the Turnpike Troubadours' statement, posted to Instagram on Tuesday (Oct. 30). "Right now, we have a situation that needs our complete attention ... As much as we would all love to keep touring, we love our family member more and need to be there to make sure he is able to conquer the issues with which he is struggling."

The Turnpike Troubadours have been canceling shows here and there since late August, largely without explanation. According to Saving Country Music, the band canceled their final two appearances on Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town's Bandwagon Tour, on which they were an opening act, then canceled an appearance at the Fayetteville Roots Festival, citing an illness that lead singer Evan Felker was suffering. The cancellation of all of their shows until Sept. 21 followed.

More recently, the Turnpike Troubadours canceled shows on Oct. 26 and 27; for both shows, statements from the venue cited "circumstances beyond our control." The band has been tight-lipped about the cancellations, and a representative for the group tells The Boot that there is no further comment beyond what's been shared on Instagram.

"We love all of you from the bottom of our heart and hope to get back to doing what we love, which is making and performing our music for you -- our extended family -- as soon as possible," the band's statement concludes. "As our good friends always say, 'family first,' and we have to be there to make sure that this family is taken care of before getting back to business."

According to the Turnpike Troubadours' tour calendar, their next scheduled performances are on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, at ACL Live at the Moody Theater. After that, their tour dates extend into mid-February.

The Turnpike Troubadours have released five studio albums since forming in the late 2000s; their most recent record, 2017's A Long Way From Your Heart, earned the No. 1 spot on the folk and indie charts and the No. 3 spot on the country charts. During the band's run on Lambert and LBT's Bandwagon Tour earlier in 2018, Lambert and Felker reportedly began dating while they both were in relationships with other people: Lambert with boyfriend of two years Anderson East and Felker with wife Staci, from whom he then filed for divorce.

Neither Lambert nor Felker commented on the matter, but photos of the two holding hands made their way around the internet in July. However, in late August, Lambert told the Tennessean that she was single; around the same time, Felker's ex-wife defended him to critics on social media. That's also when the concert cancellations began.
