Trucks, Girls, Drinking and Painted on Jeans Were the Theme of Many Country Songs in 2013

Grady Smith is an editorial assistant for Entertainment Weekly magazine and a few days ago he released what he thought were the 10 Best Country Albums of 2013. His list included, Gary Allan, Brad Paisley, Kacey Musgraves, Civil Wars and more. Then he did the opposite and released a video of why country music was awful in 2013.

It's a little tongue and cheek humor because for as long as country music has been around these 'reasons' have been the focus of 99% of country songs. Trucks, dirt roads, drinking, jeans and women are what make country music great and I dare say 'relateable' to most of us.

Check out Grady's video, he does have a point, a lot of these country songs are very similar in content.
