Trisha Yearwood to Perform in Celebration of Paul Newman’s Dream Show
Trisha Yearwood will be joining forces with other artists from a variety of genres to perform in the benefit show, A Celebration of Paul Newman’s Dream, on April 2. In the company of fellow performers Paul Simon and Josh Groban, among others, Yearwood will take the stage of New York City’s Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center for the show that will benefit Paul Newman’s Association of Hole in the Wall Camps.
The association, founded by Newman himself, is a global network of camps that cater to children struggling from serious medical conditions. Creating innovative experiences for the children, the association allows children to attend the camps free of charge, with the stated goal of extending those experiences to as many children as possible around the world.
In addition to the musical side of the evening, which will include Yearwood’s performance, the event will also include a couple of guest appearances from late night host Jimmy Fallon and Taylor Swift‘s ex flame Jake Gyllenhaal, as well as ”additional surprise musical performances throughout the evening,” according to the Tennessean.
Yearwood is also currently preparing to launch her own six-episode show on Food Network, where the two-time cookbook author will be offering up some southern fare as well as a glimpse into her life with her friends and family. She also announced on Facebook a few weeks ago that she’s in the process of working on a new record and that fans can get a taste of her new music on the cooking show.
