Zac Levi is back for Part 1 of the last installment of The Final Hours video series, which is a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Tomb Raider

So here we are again with Zac and the team at Crystal Dynamics, checking out the different ways that the team is trying to craft an amazing experience with Lara's newest adventure, which also happens to be her first.

This episode focuses on how the devs are rooting out the bugs in an effort to get the game ready to be submitted for certification. They prioritize fixing some of the glitches that are still present and figuring out how to accomplish one of the most difficult tasks in gaming: how to get Lara's hair moving naturally.

Then the focus switches to the "OMS Group." OMS is an acronym for "Oh my s***!" which represents the thrills in the game that don't have anything to do with big explosions or set pieces, but instead hone in on the adrenaline-pumping "implosions" that one can feel. An example would be early in the game when Lara is swimming in a cave; the water keeps rising while the ceiling gets lower, giving the player a true sense of claustrophobia.

Levi closes out this part of the final episode by talking to some team members and getting their thoughts on nearing the end of the project. It's evident that a lot of work went into crafting this game and that the folks at Crystal Dynamics are very excited to see the fruits of their development labor.
