Thomas Rhett is one of country music's most dynamic young artists, and he's stepping out of the country music territory with a full-on EDM remix of his song "Leave Right Now."

While the original version of the song that appears on his Life Changes album already had an EDM touch, Rhett employs Danish DJ Martin Jensen to add even more of an electronic sound to the track. Jensen's remix is one of four versions that Rhett has included on his Leave Right Now (The Remixes) EP, released in April of 2018.

The acclaimed DJ adds a whole host of synthesized sounds that transform the light pop song into a house music jam, complete with a beat drop at the end of the chorus. The singer released the video for the revamped tune on Monday (May 21), which features a sharp-dressed Rhett trying to navigate his way through an overwhelming crowd inside of a swanky downtown building, searching for the girl who caught his eye.

In addition to Jensen's remix, the EP also features the song's original version, radio edit and a Nashville remix that still embodies the EDM sound, while heavily utilizing traditional country instruments including guitar and banjo. Rhett admitted leading up to the release of Life Changes that "Leave Right Now" was the song he anticipated he'd get the most feedback on from country traditionalists. He co-wrote the song with pop writers Julian Bunetta, Edward Drewett and John Henry Ryan at a time when he was frequently listening to the Chainsmokers.

"Never in a million years did I think it was ever going to make the record, and the more I just started listening to it I was like, 'Why would I not want a song of mine that makes me feel incredible to not be on the record?'" he says.

Rhett is currently out on the road on his Life Changes Tour in support of the chart-topping album with Brett YoungCarly Pearce, Midland, Russell Dickerson and Jillian Jacqueline through fall of 2018.
