Josh Gallagher, a ball cap-wearing country singer from Nashville, chose a very modern country hit to impress the coaches on NBC's The Voice Tuesday night (Sept. 27). His cover of Brothers Osborne's "Stay a Little Longer" turned two chairs, meaning he had to make a difficult decision.

Ultimately, the 25-year-old from Cresson, Pa., picked Blake Shelton's team over Alicia Keys'. He moved to Music City two years ago to begin a country career, he explained, so the choice wasn't all that difficult. He's found success in downtown Nashville thus far. His website shows he's a regular on Monday nights at the Tin Roof on Broadway, and he also plays other honkytonks. Thus far he's released two songs on iTunes.

“I’m a blue jean wearing kind of guy every day,” Gallagher says after both Keys and Shelton make their pitch to keep him. Gallagher's version of "Stay a Little Longer" was bouncier and more vibrant than the original from Brothers Osborne's Pawn Shop album. He only had time for a verse and chorus during Tuesday's audition episode.

Texan Austin Allsup was Blake Shelton's only other addition to Team Blake during Tuesday night's episode. That gives him nine singers, including Sundance Head and the French-born Dan Shafer. Shelton has won four of the 10 seasons of the hit reality show, most recently in Season 7 with Craig Wayne Boyd.
