  • Haunted Houses

    The House of Horrors

    The House of Horrors is located at 120 West 3rd Street in Baird. It's open Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm from September 29th through October 31st. Ages 5 and up pay $10.


    Haunted Hangar

    Put on by the Tye Volunteer Fire Department, The Haunted Hangar will be open this year on October 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th and Halloween night. You can check it out behind the Tye cemetery and the cost is $10 per person. More info in the link below.


    Haunted Abilene

    The Abilene Preservation League are back with their annual Haunted Abilene event which features a trolley ride with some of Abilene's most famous ghosts, a haunted mansion and more at the Swenson house. The trolleys begin leaving at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for either the trolley ride or the haunted mansion, or $25 for both. Get more details with the link below.


    13 Vultures Haunted Estate 

    Located between Baird and Clyde on I-20 (directions on their Facebook page), this haunted attraction is open on Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm to midnight and sports a haunted house, cemetery, woods and more. The cost is $10 per person. More details on their Facebook page below.


    Buffalo Gap Ghost Tours

    This haunting tour of the Buffalo Gap Historic Village will be on Saturday, October 14th and October 21st at 8pm. Admission is $10. Buffalo Gap Historic Village is located at 133 North William Street in Buffalo Gap.

  • Halloween Parties at Bars

    Abilene's 'Monster Mash Bash'

    Join the biggest Halloween bash of them all on Saturday, October 28th. This year's 'Monster Mash Bash' will be at The Zone and feature live music from Daisy Bulldozer. There will be a cash costume contest, live music, food trucks, drink specials and more. The cost is only $5 per person. More details in the link below.


    Shooters Bar 

    Shooters will have a Halloween bash on Halloween night. There will be a costume contest and karaoke with Angel in Black Entertainment from 8-12. Shooters Bar is located at 1021 N. Mockingbird in Abilene. Check out their Facebook page below for more details.

  • The Paramount Halloween Film

    Each year, the historic Paramount Theater shows some sort of creepy movie for Halloween. This year, that movie will be Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride". The movie will be shown October 31st at 7:30pm.   • The Pumpkin Patch

    The  'Pumpkin Patch', benefiting Disability Resources Inc. will run through the entire month of October. The fundraiser is held at DRI and is decorated with props, swings, hay bales and, of course, pumpkins. There is also a free hayride, tons of fun, and the best part, is being able to help out people with disabilities. The Pumpkins Patch will be open Monday-Saturday from 10am until dusk, and Sundays from 1pm until dusk. For more information, and to reserve your time, check out the links below.

  • Boo at the Zoo

    Get ready to get your spook on at the Abilene Zoo with ‘Boo at the Zoo’. Businesses, clubs and churches will have plenty of candy for little trick or treaters. In addition, there will be a costume contest, games, and a ton of family fun. ‘Boo at the Zoo’ happens Saturday, October 28th, from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are $5 for ages 3 and up.   • Mall-O-Ween

    The Mall of Abilene will host 'Mall-O-Ween' on Monday, October 30th from 6pm to 8pm. There will be a costume contest, games, a magician, candy and special performances. More details in the link below.

  • Community Events

    Several churches and other organizations will usually have "trick or treating" and other festivities. As we get more information from those groups, we'll continue to update this blog.
