Terrell Owens Gets an Offer — From an Arena Football League Team

Terrell Owens is so desperate to get back to football that, trying to make an impression on an NFL team, he held a televised workout on Tuesday.
While no NFL teams bit, Owens did get one offer: from the Arena Football League’s Chicago Rush, at $400 per week.
“Terrell would absolutely complement our current wide receiving corps. His animation and over-the-top energy would be an excellent addition in the locker room, and the Chicago fans would undoubtedly welcome him here in Chicago,” Rush head coach Bob McMillen said.
But Owens’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, called the offer “absurd” and said that Owens will only play in the NFL. Needy teams might come knocking at his door at some point, but the lack of interest right now could mean it’s time for the 38-year-old receiver to hang up his cleats once and for all.
