Lately, it seems that Taylor Swift's lips are getting much looser when it comes to dishing on the inspiration behind her breakup songs and how she really feels about some of her ex-boyfriends. Most recently, it was One Direction's Harry Styles. We're not sure what Styles did to get under Swift's skin, but she had no problem revealing that he was on her mind when she penned 'I Knew You Were Trouble' for her record-breaking 'Red' album.

According to the Times of London, Styles is most definitely the trouble that walked into her life and left her head spinning. In fact, when she sang 'I Knew You Were Trouble' at the Brit awards in February, the country star was able to channel her anger into an impressive performance knowing that her ex was standing in the wings watching.

"It's not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is about is standing by the side of the stage watching," she said (quote via the New York Daily News).

"You're balancing the analytical side of your brain, which is telling you where to go and how to go there with the other side of your brain, which is saying, 'Feel everything you're singing, and show it on your face. Feel everything exactly as you felt it when you wrote the song,'" Swift added.

The truth is, the 'Red' hitmaker penned 'I Knew You Were Trouble' before she officially started dating the British heartthrob last fall, but rumors were already swirling that country music's sweetheart was crushing hard on the One Direction star. In the end, the lyrics Swift wrote foreshadowed the end of the relationship.

As for Styles, he's only had nice things to say about his ex. After the Brit awards, he told the London Times that Swift's performance was good and that she looked great doing it.

It sounds like there's a bit of a contradiction here, but we really can't blame Styles for trying to smooth things over in the press. Who knows what the next song inspired by his relationship faux pas will be?
