I'm not a great cook but I'm not a bad cook either, I just like to cook. There are lots of shows on TV to watch and learn from but there is nothing better than to be watching and learning live. You just can't beat the great smells of cooking and baking while you watch. Jamie Dunn with the Taste of Home Cooking school will be here next Tuesday,  November 8th at the Abilene Civic Center to bring you some great holiday ideas, wonderful new recipes, some great quick & easy tips plus some giveaways too.

This is our 4th year to bring the Taste of Home to the Abilene area and each year it has just gotten bigger and better. Culinary Specialist Jamie Dunn has a great personality and sense of humor and she knows how to cook that's for sure. She always brings fun, easy, tasty recipes that you can fix for the holiday's or for just a quick meal for the family on a busy night. Usually, there's even a kid friendly recipe included so they can get involved too.

Jamie makes it fun and you leave the show wanting to run home and try out the new recipes. A word of advice, eat before you come because you're going to get hungry! Jamie offers step-by-step instruction and demos, plus there are goody bags for everyone that attends the show. There will be Taste of Home cooking magazines, coupons and other great products inside your bag. (I went and peeked, the bags are going to be stuffed with some extra cool things this year)

We will also have a variety of vendors in the Civic Center red carpet area set up with their products for sale.

During the show there will be drawings for giveaways as well,  including the dishes that Jamie cooks on stage. This is a great event for everyone to attend, NOT just for women so ladies grab the husbands and even the kids if you want. We are family friendly and you'll have a great time.

For tickets you can stop by the radio station at 3911 S. 1st or visit our events page for more details.
