While no specifics were given regarding the nature of Tanya Tucker's health concerns, she has apparently bounced back, and has made a return to the stage with a recent impromptu performance in Arizona. However, according to her official website, Tucker has yet to schedule - or re-schedule any concert dates.

Original Story, October 4th, 2012

Legendary country music singer Tanya Tucker has 'health concerns' that have caused her to cancel her only remaining performance scheduled this year. While it's not big surprise that a musician has cancelled a show, it's the lengthy advanced notice that has sparked concerns about the seriousness of Tucker's ailment.

The concert in question, originally booked for December 9th in Oneonta, New York, is more than two months away. Nobody representing the 53-year old singer has officially released a statement, and Tanya Tucker's official website appears to have been left alone for several months.

The venue has released a statement. Huemac Garcia, executive director of the Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta also gave us insight as to how long Tanya will be out of commission:

"Due to health reasons the Tanya Tucker show on  December 9th has been rescheduled to August 17th @ 8 pm. Foothills was notified that  Tanya's tour has been cancelled for the next six months. The Foothills Performing Arts Center and community wish her a speedy, healthy recovery and look forward to seeing her on August 17th 2013."

The song 'Delta Dawn' gave Tanya Tucker her big musical break back in 1972 at age 13. The Seminole, Texas native's career has seen 40 of her songs crack the top ten on the U.S. country charts, and ten #1 singles. A staple on the charts through the 70's, 80's and 90's, Tucker has been nominated for 8 Grammy Awards, and has won a pair of Academy of Country Music Awards as well as two CMA Awards in her illustrious career. Her most recent CD release was 2009's 'My Turn', a collection of Tanya's version of country music standards. She also recorded a 'Live at Billy Bob's Texas' CD in 2005.
