The Muscular Dystrophy Telethon on Labor Day weekend (now called the "M.D.A. Show of Strength"), has always been in my opinion, a 'must see event'. This year there's even more of a reason to watch the show. Country music Superstars Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw and Luke Bryan are scheduled to appear on the Show of Strength. Check out who else is on the line up this year.

This years West Texas Rehab Center telethon and auction, raised more money than any other year in the 42 year history of the Rehab telethon. The final amount given as of Sunday evening was $1,335,664, that beats the previous record high of $1,271,367 set in 2008. The overall total in the 42 years the telethon has been broadcast, is almost 35 million dollars combined.

As the old saying goes, "It's not over till the fat lady sings". She has sung and the audience loved her so much she raised a near record high for the 2011 Rehab telethon.
