stop the violence

This Saturday, in Downtown Abilene, the 'Stop the Violence' rally will do its part to address violence in the Abilene area. The event includes live music and speakers sharing their personal stories of experience with domestic violence.

I met a woman yesterday afternoon that brought this event to my attention. She is a victim of domestic violence. She ended up in the hospital with a broken jaw. She finally got out of the situation and the man who did it is now where he belongs; behind bars.
