Stoney LaRue fans are in for a treat! Not only is The Red Dirt legend headlining the Back to School Bash this Thursday (9/11), but he is also offering a sneak peek at his new album, 'Aviator' with a behind-the-scenes interview and video footage.

Stoney LaRue is coming to Abilene for the 'Back To School Bash' on 9/11, and if I could request one song for Stoney to do live, it would be 'An Empty Glass'. A few years ago Stoney payed tribute to Gary Stewart by reprising the song 'An Empty Glass'. Check it out.

Stoney LaRue was born in Texas but raised in Oklahoma. His name is Stoney LaRue Phillips and he has a brother, Bo Phillips, who is also in the music business. Stoney began playing music at an early age but it wasn't until college that he began to take it to a more serious level.

Stoney LaRue's new CD, 'Aviator' is on the way this fall. We've got a sample of LaRue's first new album in three years with 'First One to Know', and if it's any indication to the quality of the rest of 'Aviator', Stoney fans are in for a treat.
