Having experienced a Tartan Day celebration first hand, I am very familiar with the rich and proud heritage the Scottish and Irish have. My wife's side of the family celebrate it in a grand traditional fashion with the clothes, food and drink. National Tartan Day will be celebrated at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Departments, Abilene state park on April 14th 2012, and the event is open to the public.
