To make things a little easier on your pocket book the Abilene Association of Realtors, Salvation Army of Abilene and Payless Shoe Source have teamed up to give kids up to 5th grade a new pair of shoes for the school year.

The Abilene Association of Realtors (AAOR) and the Salvation Army say they are "extremely happy with the number of Abilene area residents that participated in the Walk With Pride event". Shanda Tijerina the Public Relations Chairwoman for the Association says, "627 Children received brand new shoes and socks in time for for back to school".

Walk With Pride is an annual program that helps provide a new pair of back-to-school shoes for Big Country students. 'Walk With Pride' is a cooperative effort of the Salvation Army and the Abilene Association of Realtors.
