He probably would’ve been better off staying stateside, as he ended up getting crushed by GOP rival  Mitt Romney 83 to 8% in the contest.

Even the former Pennsylvania Senator’s attempt to do a little sunbathing turned against him when a photo of him laying out by the pool hit the internet.
