The new Toby Keith album 'Hope On The Rocks' due for release on Tuesday, October 30th, is a mixture of fun songs like 'The Size I Wear', a trucking song like 'Haven't Had A Drink All Day' and a some serious tunes like the title cut 'Hope On The Rocks'. They haven’t even wrapped up their current tour with Sara Evans, but that isn’t keeping Rascal Flatts from looking to the future as they prepare their eighth album. In fact, the multiplatinum country stars are already in the studio.

The news was broken by Flatts bass player Jay DeMarcus, who took to Twitter Tuesday morning with the announcement “Another day tracking with the Flatts!!! New album comes out next spring!!!”

Congratulations are in order for Luke Bryan. The ‘Country Girl (Shake It for Me)’ singer’s new album, ‘Tailgates and Tanlines,’ is not only the top-selling country album, it’s number two on Billboard’s overall top 200 albums chart.

‘Tailgates’ is Bryan’s first chart-topping album, outpacing 2009′s ‘Doin’ My Thing,’ which peaked at number two on the country charts and number six on the top 200. With first-week sales of more than 145,000 units, it’s the second highest-selling debut for a country artist this year, behind only Brad Paisley‘s ‘This Is Country Music.’

It’s been over two years since Martina McBride has delivered a full-length album of new material — and the wait just got a little longer for her fans.

McBride’s upcoming release, which will be her eleventh studio set, was scheduled for August, but Universal Republic has pushed it back a few weeks — to October 18, to be exact. She addressed the change in a recent blog post, calling it “a decision the record company made in order to give us the best opportunity for a great first week in sales, which so many people pay attention to in the industry.”
