The Big Spring, Texas native handled the tough questions like a champ, and kept a positive outlook heading into week 2 against the Oakland Raiders. Th e positive attitude paid off, and the result was a 35-13 whipping of the Raiders, and a week of firsts for Tannehill.

Big Spring, Texas native Ryan Tannehill had a rough go of it in his NFL debut Sunday for the Miami Dolphins. Not surprisingly, the Houston Texans proved to be too much for Tannehill and the Dolphins offense in the 30-10 loss.

Now Tannehill, who played high school football in Big Spring, Texas and was Texas A&M's star quarterback, will likely be playing a major role in reality television this fall.

Well, Todd Haley isn’t the only coach looking for work now.

The Miami Dolphins also fired their head coach, announcing that Tony Sparano (not to be confused with Tony Soprano) is being replaced by defensive backs coach Todd Bowles for the team’s remaining three games this season. The Dolphins sit at 4-9 after starting the season 0-7. In total, Sparano was 29-32 with Miami in his four years there.
