Love and Theft's 'Runnin' Out of Air' lyrics take a different spin from what fans are used to hearing from the duo. But the marriage of melody, music and lyrics were the perfect fit, which is why the pair decided to pick the tune as their latest single to hit country radio airwaves.
Yesterday's song battle between new singles by Dustin Lynch and Love and Theft was a dogfight, with both artists calling upon fans to vote until the final minutes of Taste of Country Nights radio. In the end, 'Runnin' Out of Air' grabbed 57 percent of the vote, sending the duo on to face a country music superstar today.
Love and Theft's Eric Gunderson is getting ready for fatherhood! Gunderson and his wife, Emily, are expecting a baby on May 18, 2013. The new arrival will be a first child for the couple, who will celebrate three years of marriage in April.
The five nominees for the 2012 CMA New Artist of the Year award reached their current levels of fame in very different ways. This is an interesting category that will be fun to watch on Nov. 1. Who do you think will win the New Artist of the Year award at the 2012 CMAs?
The difference between country newcomer and country star can be one irresistible single, and 'Runnin' Out of Air' is that song for Love and Theft. Love and Theft‘s new single, ‘Angel Eyes,’ is giving the band a handful of firsts, including the fact that it’s a their first release as a duo. The video for the tune was just released, showing a more mature side of Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker Liles as they flirt with temptation of dating the preacher’s daughters.
“This is the most excited I’ve been in a long time,” Love and Theft member Stephen Barker Liles told Taste of Country during a recent interview. “The fact that we’re over it all now and things are moving forward is a really good feeling.”
