Things I’ve Learned While Watching the Olympics – Dave’s Top 5

As I mentioned a while back, I like sports, and I really enjoy watching the Olympics. I don’t necessarily go out of my way to watch a particular sport, or a specific athlete, but I watch when I have free time. In watching the 2012 Summer Games in London from the comfort of my home, I have learned a few things. So here are some observations that jumped out at me, some literally.

NASA’s “Curiosity” Rover Set To Land On Surface of Mars this Sunday [VIDEO]

I watched a movie the other night that I had never heard of called "Mission to Mars" with Gary Sinise, Tim Robbins and Don Cheadle. Apparently this movie was released in 2000. I know we've already landed on Mars but this newest mission to the red planet is a little different in that "Curiosity" is a a robot chemist looking for signs of planet habitability.

Will the Dancing with the Stars All-Star Event Be Worth Watching?

One of my favorite reality shows, and I don't like reality shows, is Dancing with the Stars. I think it is a well planned show. Sometimes I don't agree with the judges decisions, but who does? I think it's great entertainment and I love to watch stars that have never danced actually come in and surprise everyone. Well now that the show is entering it's 800th season, it's time for the "All-Stars" version complete with one fan voted extra.

Find Out What the Phrase “Once in a Blue Moon” Means and When You Can See One

It's a phrase I've heard for years, my grandparents and parents said it and now I say it but what does the phrase "once in a blue moon" actually mean? I've always heard it used in reference to something that happens very rarely. For the most part that is true.
