June 19, 2012 'Swing, Swang, Swung', will be a first for McMurry Universities theater and jazz band departments. Every summer McMurry puts on two dinner theaters, for the second production of the 2012 McMurry summer series 'Swing, Swang, Swung' as they call it, will be an evening of music, dining, and dancing in a nightclub setting, featuring a full seven piece jazz band with a female vocalist.

Some of us celebrate with family and friends, just small gatherings and others go all out with huge parties that include the entire neighborhood. Then, of course, there are the public events with family friendly environments and fireworks to top it all off. June 15, 2012 A few days ago, we talked about Timothy Poe, the country singer who had the judges and audience in tears on the NBC television show "America's Got Talent". After discussing it on the radio, Facebook, and on our website, we decided to make an official poll, asking "Should Timothy Poe be kicked off America's Got Talent?". Abilene voted, and the majority agrees that Poe needs to go.
