July 14, 2012 The 'John Wayne Film Festival' (JWFF) is returning to Snyder, Texas for the second year in a row. The festival is set for Labor Day weekend, August 31st through September 2nd. The historic Ritz Theater on the square in Snyder is where you'll see some of the Duke's most popular movies on the big screen.

First, John Wayne was born on May 26th, so it's the Dukes birthday weekend and second, every Memorial Day weekend the Western Channel pays tribute to John Wayne by having a 'John Wayne Movie Marathon.' May 21, 2011 OK, it's no secret that I, Rudy FEARLESS Fernandez an a HUGE John Wayne and Westerns fan. In between lawn mowing and on location-live-broadcasting I happened to see a promo on the Western Channel that this memorial weekend they will play 18 Jon Wayne movies straight through. I wonder if I can call in sick that weekend?
