Agent 47 is a perfect assassin, designed in a lab to kill with ruthless efficiency and accuracy. Mad scientists tweaked his genetics to enhance his toughness and diminish his emotions, because emotions make people weak. In his line of work — murdering people, all day, everyday, for money — it is better not to feel.

In theory, there's nothing wrong with rebooting the ‘Hitman’ franchise (a popular video game series that spawned only one 2007 film). The Timothy Olyphant version was nothing particularly interesting or exciting, so the chance to try again is something that we can't fault Fox for. But, when you reboot a movie and it still looks as stale and by-the-books as the new ‘Hitman: Agent 47’, then what was the point in the first place?

After the renewed success of the 'Fast and Furious' franchise we're surprised it's taken this long for Paul Walker to capitalize on his hit sequels -- Vin Diesel already has 'Riddick' in the can. But now Walker's signed on for a new movie and possible franchise as he's going to lead the reboot of 'Hitman' for 20th Century Fox.
