Night two of the 2016 CMA Music Festival including stand-out performances from Sam Hunt, Carrie Underwood and Hank Williams Jr. Frankie Ballard's version of the "Star Spangled Banner" began a great night in Nashville.
Adam Wakefield is no stranger to showing off his country roots. The contestant on The Voice teamed up with coach Blake Shelton on Monday night (May 23) for a spirited cover of the Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings' classic duet "The Conversation."
There was a great moment during Wednesday night's Life & Songs of Kris Kristofferson show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville that found Hank Williams Jr. and Kristofferson enthusiastically hugging one another after the younger artist had just finished singing "If You Don't Like Hank Williams," a Kristofferson-penned song from his Habits Old and New album from 1980.
Hank Williams, Jr. will officially be playing the CMA Music Festival this summer alongside Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Eric Church and Sam Hunt as part of the Friday night lineup on June 10, 2016.
