44% of Abilene Father's Really Want A Hot Date for Father's Day

Wow! I am really surprised at the results of the 'What do Men in Abilene Really Want for Fathers Day' poll. Interestingly enough, the majority of men in Abilene 44%, would rather have a hot date night with the wife, over a store-bought gift (your choice), homemade gift, homemade fathers-day card or a massage. What I did find interesting is that home-cooked meals ranked second. Here's the way the poll shakes out.

Sometimes, getting a date with a celebrity is as simple as asking them out on YouTube.

Last week Chicago resident Chelsea Gill uploaded a video of her singing a song requesting that ‘The Muppets’ star Jason Segel take her out for a drink.

Segel saw the video, was charmed by Gill’s deft rhyming, and happened to be going to Chicago over the weekend for the Chicago Film Critic Awards.

Connecticut State Representative Tim Larson has proposed that the state change the date of Halloween so it always falls on a weekend. Much like the federal government’s determination that Thanksgiving should always be celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, Rep. Larson, a Democrat, believes Halloween should always fall on the last Saturday of October. [...]
