Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill Cover ‘How Great Thou Art’ and Receive a Standing Ovation [VIDEO]

I recently attended a Church service where many old hymns, gospel and Christian songs were being played and sung. When I heard one that had my eyes welling up with tears. I heard the clear and distinct voice of Vince Gill and the other I thought might be Carrie Underwood. The song was 'How Great Thou Art' and I'd never heard it before. I thought to myself "I've got to get my hands on that version." In my humble opinion this is the best version of this song I have ever heard, nothing else gets close. She covered Pistol Annies‘ ‘Hell on Heels,’ musing that the song was requested by multiple people — and likely because she was in Texas. Texans love their Miranda Lambert, who’s one third of the Pistol Annies. Clarkson is also a close friend of Lambert and a native Texan, like her blond pal, so it was the perfect cover song.

NBC’s new musical drama ‘Smash’ premiered on Monday night, taking in the story of what it takes to make it in a Broadway musical.
