Free Street Dance and Concert Coming to Downtown Sweetwater Texas [AUDIO]

'Sweet H2O' is a benefit fund raiser street-dance and concert, that will take place in downtown Sweetwater. The event will feature 11 musicians/bands that are scheduled to appear Saturday July 28th starting at 5 p.m. The music will range from Country to Texas music, Blues, Rock, Folk and Americana. The beneficiary of this event is the Texas Theater in downtown Sweetwater. Did I mention the concert and dance are free?

I was just about to go up on stage at Guitars and Cadillac's and introduce the first act Friday night at the Brantley Gilbert concert, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw another country music singer, songwriter and producer, Rhett Akins. I'd heard that he might be traveling with this group of guys, and for good reason. Thomas Rhett-Akins is the son of Rhett Akins. So right after I got done bringing on Thomas Rhett I got a chance to talk to his well known father and the singer of "That Ain't My Truck"

As of last week the Brantley Gilbert concert with special guest Thomas Rhett sold out. The show will be at Guitars and Cadillac's Friday night December 16 and for those holding tickets the doors will open at 7PM. However, for those of us who didn't buy a ticket (yes, me included) here is a video of what has been happening at the Taste Of Country concert tour. At some point in the show both Gilbert and Rhett sing the song Brantley wrote for Jason Aldean Dirt Road Anthem.

What at first appears to be an overnight success story is exactly the opposite. Brantley Gilbert who hails from Jefferson Georgia started out trying to make it in the business before 2006, that's when Gilbert's first album on Average Joe's records, "Modern Day Prodigal Son", was originally set to be released, but Gilbert was dropped by the record label a week before the albums were to be delivered to stores. Gilbert went on to release two albums, all the while trying to get his foot in the door as a serious performer. In February 2011, Brantley left the old record label to join with Big Machine Records' Valory Music Group, where he has charted a top 20 song and still climbing with "Country Must Be Country Wide."

Sugarland will Perform Free Indianapolis Concert

After the August tragic stage collapse, Sugarland is returning to Indiana for the first time since the August 13. The duo will put on a free concert at Conseco Field-house in Indianapolis. Sugarland announced that anyone who has, or had a ticket to that show when the stage crumbled, will be admitted free to the October 28th concert. State Fair ticket holders will be allowed to get their free tickets starting this Monday, October 10 through Friday, October 14. Anyone who held a ticket to the State Fair concert can redeem it for a pass to the new show however it's on a first-come, first-served basis.

However, Brantley Gilbert is real well known around Nashville, the Jason Aldean home, and with most of today's country singers looking for a hit song to record. On June 30th, Bucky Covington was playing at concert in Florida, and that is where all his problems begun. It seems that the promoter (Bill Fuller) that hired him fell ill and went to the hospital to get checked out. While away the said concert promoter left one of his Iron Horse Saloon employees in charge to collect the front door money. Upon his return back from the hospital, Fuller and his trusty employee made allegations that Mr. Covington had stolen over one thousand dollars from the front door cash box. The unnamed employee reported to Fuller and later told police the he and Covington were taking in the ticket sales money at the front door.
