Last week (1/13) HippieLovePunk from Cody Canada and the Departed hit stores and iTunes, the band's third album (This is Indian Land, Adventus). Canada called in to talk with us about the new album, MusicFest 2015 highlights, his brother-in-law Wade Bowen's performance on Conan, American Aquarium and so much more.

His new, self-titled album was out last Tuesday. It peaked inside the Top 5 on iTunes, no small task for an independent artist. Last week Wade Bowen called into Radio Texas, LIVE! to debut four tracks off his new project, exclusively for our listeners.

From his home in New Braunfels, TX, Cody Canada and his dog, Marvin, took to social media, today, to thank fans for their continued support. He also says to keep comin' out to shows, and to expect a new Departed album very soon.

Over the last few years Cody Canada has been with 'a band'. He, of course, was the front man of Cross Canadian Ragweed and most recently of The Departed. Now Cody is stepping out solo for an album "Some Old, Some New, Maybe a Cover or Two" to be released this November.
