This year’s Country Music Awards Nominees have been announced. It may double out as a coming out party for Eric Church, leads the way with the most nominations. And several familiar, award-winning artists following closely behind.
August 2, 2012 The 46th annual CMA Awards will take place in Nashville on Thursday, November 1st. It was announced Wednesday that once again Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be hosting the show. This is their fifth time together as co-hosts.
November 8, 2011 Thompson Square’s Shawna Thompson was ready to pack it up and head home after nearly 15 years of trying to make it in Music City, Nashville Tennessee. She kept telling her husband, Keifer, the other half of Thompson Square, that she wanted out she wanted to go back to more familiar ground. Shawna was ready to go back home to her home state of Alabama. However, Kaifer had this funny feeling that something was about to hit. "It's about to happen it's either the big time or the no time, I just feel it!"

The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, and Miranda Lambert will join the star-filled lineup at the 2011 CMA Awards in November, reports The Boot. What a difference a year makes, especially if you’re the Band Perry! Just last year, the trio — individually known as siblings Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry — first attended the CMA Awards to perform their hit song ‘If I Die Young’ and compete for Group of the Year honors. This year, the trio is nominated for five awards, including Single and Song of the Year for ‘If I Die Young.’
On November 10, the 2011 CMA Awards will bring together country’s brightest stars for an evening of glamour, excitement, and live performances of the year’s biggest hits — but you won’t have to wait until then for the fun to start.
The announcement of this year’s nominees will be an event unto itself, featuring an appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ by The Band Perry and Jake Owen, as well as a Nashville press conference hosted by Jerrod Niemann and Thompson Square.
July 15, 2011 Folks at the Country Music Association are posturing in the five o'clock hour because of scheduling. Seems like the Teen Choice Awards planned their big night on the same evening that the CMA Music Festival TV special was to air. The peeps at at both the network and at the CMA offices do not want either to suffer and or compete for market share. Country’s Night to Rock aka the CMA Music Festival is now set to air Sunday, August 14 on ABC.
