That's Patience Beard's reality, as the 18-year-old lost her left leg to an illness when she was a baby. But she's never let her lack of a limb hold her back, and this year she was one of only five freshmen to make the University of Arkansas cheerleading squad.

I've kept it to myself for a long time, but it's time I came out of the closet. I am a big Bucky Badgers fan and the reason comes from the schools band and the fans rather than the team itself. They are incredible, the students and fans remain standing through most of the game, they sing, they chant and generally have a great time while the game plays on. And yes even when the badgers are behind the school spirit never seems to change. As you'll see in the video, the game goes on while the fans sing and make lots of noise. The students and fans make it almost impossible for the visiting teams at Camp Randall stadium to hear themselves think let alone call their plays.
